MimsDecor & Rental
These Terms & Conditions form a legally binding agreement between MimsDecor & Rental (“the Company”) and the client (“the Client”).
1. Agreement
This signed agreement represents a confirmed order for rental items and/or décor services. No verbal agreements or representations shall be considered valid. This contract constitutes the entire understanding between the Client and MimsDecor & Rental.
2. Rental Period (Client Pickup Orders)
Rental items may be picked up one (1) day prior to the event from the Company’s designated location. All items must be returned to the same location no later than 6:00 PM on the day following the event.
A two-hour grace period is allowed. After this period, an additional daily rental charge will apply.
3. Delivery & Collection Policy
3.1 Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are charged based on distance, location, and order size.
3.2 Delivery Schedule
Rental items are typically delivered one (1) day prior to the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Delivery times are scheduled according to logistics and availability and will be confirmed closer to the date of the event.
Same-day delivery is not guaranteed.
3.3 Collection Schedule
Items will be collected either after the event or the following day, depending on scheduling.
All items must be accessible and ready for pickup at the agreed time.
3.4 Advance Notice
A minimum of 48–72 hours’ notice is required for delivery orders. Orders placed without sufficient notice may be declined or rescheduled.
3.5 Access Requirements
The Client is responsible for ensuring:
Clear access for delivery vehicles
Elevator access if required
Venue permission for setup and removal
Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional fees.
3.6 Responsibility During Rental
All rental items remain the property of MimsDecor & Rental. The Client is responsible for all items from delivery or pick up until collection or return. Items may not be moved, altered, or used outdoors without prior approval.
3.7 Changes & Cancellations
Changes to delivery or collection times must be requested at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Additional fees may apply.
3.8 Weather & Force Majeure
MimsDecor & Rental is not liable for delays, damages, or service interruptions caused by weather, venue restrictions, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
4. Damage, Loss & Replacement
The Client is responsible for all rented items while in their possession. Damaged, stained, altered, or missing items will be charged at full replacement cost. Repair or replacement fees may be deducted from the security deposit or invoiced separately.
Clients are encouraged to inspect all items at pickup or delivery.
5. Limit of Liability
The Company is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages arising from the use or misuse of rental items. Guests may not remove or tamper with rental property. The Client is fully responsible for the actions of guests and vendors.
6. Materials & Colour Variations
Colour tones and material textures may vary depending on fabric type and manufacturer. Clients are encouraged to view samples before the event. Exact colour matches cannot be guaranteed.
7. Photography & Promotion
MimsDecor & Rental may photograph event setups for portfolio, website, and social media promotion. No personal client information will be shared without consent.
8. Booking Deposit & Payments
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to secure all bookings. This deposit reserves the event date and covers preparation and material costs.
In certain cases, involving custom or specialty items, a higher deposit may be required.
The remaining balance must be paid by the agreed due date prior to the event.
9. Cancellations policy
All bookings with MimsDecor & Rental require a non-refundable 30% deposit to secure your event date. If a cancellation occurs, all payments made, including the deposit, are non-refundable. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. In certain cases, and at our discretion, a credit may be applied toward a future booking, minus any costs already incurred for materials or preparations. We recommend confirming all event details before booking, as your date is reserved exclusively for you.
10. Changes to Orders
Quotes are based on initial requirements such as guest count and selected décor. Once materials have been ordered, reductions in quantities or services will not result in price reductions. Additional items requested will be added to the invoice at current pricing.
11. Cleaning Fees
Items must be returned in the condition received. Excessively dirty items may be subject to cleaning fees.
12. Security Deposit
A refundable cash security deposit of 75 CAD may be required at delivery or pickup. This will be returned once all items are inspected and confirmed to be in good condition.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking with MimsDecor & Rental, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
